MTI Business Segment: Performance Materials

Position: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: USA | Phoenix, Arizona

Responsibilities

Scope:

  • Responsible to coordinate and complete all quality checks and verification duties. To correct and report all deviations to QA Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain written documentation of QA Production lines Inspection checks.
  • Record data and information collected from inspection in computer.
  • Daily reports to senior management.
  • Review and file COA’s.
  • Perform Operational Checks and inform plant of any issues.
  • Disposition of product on Bakery side.
  • Finished product analysis and record in computer.
  • Perform Shipping and Receiving inspections.
  • Inform QA Supervisor and/or Director of Regulatory Affairs of any quality issues.
  • Maintains and updates the Calibration Program
  • Special projects to be assigned as the need arise.
  • Daily sample retention of raw materials and finished products.
  • Completes HOLD and MQN Documentation.
  • Ensure all finished products meet specification.
  • Test and approve rail cars and complete corresponding documentation.
  • Calibrate additives ensuring appropriate levels are being added.
  • Submit samples for chemical, microbial and proximate analysis.
  • Perform product and ingredient investigations as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education
  • Understanding of ISO, QS, CFIA and HACCP and quality assurance concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service and analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative
  • Organized, enthusiastic and self motivated.
  • Ability to speak and read English
