Job Summary

Colony Haul currently has an opening for a Welder/Fabricator at its Colony, WY facility. The Welder/fabricator position requires the individual be safety minded. Welder/Fabricator performs any and all welding tasks associated with repairing semi tractors, belly dump trailers, water trailers, heavy equipment.  Repairs to the trucks, trailers, and equipment will be conducted in or at truck shop facility, or out in the field using provided service truck.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assess repairs needed, repair, maintain all welding and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner
2. Keep work area clean and organized
3. Proper communication with staff about repairs made or needed
4. Document repairs made and parts used in repair process

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Must have own tools
• Knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, equipment used in welding and fabricating.
• Knowledge of metals, welding, gases, air-arc.
• Current CDL a plus, but not required
• Clean MVR
• Ability to:
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Bend, stretch, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Lift occasionally up to 75 lbs
  • Fill out all necessary daily paperwork and/or safety related documents
  • Recognize and respond to immediate safety concerns
  • Read, write, speak and understand English 

Working Conditions:

• Outdoors in any and all weather conditions.

Work Hours:

• 10-12 hour work days, 5 days a week, overtime, occasional Saturday if weather interrupts regular week
