Job Summary

Minerals Technologies is recruiting a mid-level attorney with strong commercial acumen to primarily support the Consumer & Specialties segment. 

• As Legal Counsel at Minerals Technologies, you’ll provide front-line support to business stakeholders by analyzing legal issues, drafting and negotiating agreements, and providing commercially driven legal advice in a global environment.
• You’ll report to the Segment Counsel, Consumer & Specialties.
• This role is based in Minerals Technologies’ Lehigh Valley Campus in Bethlehem, PA.  

Operational Excellence/Lean

• Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.

• Around 5 years of relevant experience in a globally recognized law firm and/or in-house with a manufacturing or resources organization, which should include substantive international responsibility.
• Ability to quickly and clearly identify and resolve critical legal and commercial issues.
• Proven capability to adapt to different environments.
• Demonstrated interest and curiosity about the world.
• While not required, time spent outside of the U.S., fluency in foreign languages, in-house experience (including secondments), legal compliance expertise and/or experience in the mining/manufacturing sectors would be distinct advantages.

Education Requirements

• Incumbent must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a Juris Doctor degree.

Salary Range 

• $120,000 - $170,000 per year
• salary will be based on experience
