Our Environmental & Infrastructure product line provides waterproofing, water purification, remediation and other fluid management technologies for critical projects for Remediation, Water Purification, and Infrastructure.

Position: Production Manager

Location: Canada | Brantford, Ontario

Pay Range: $90k - $105k per year

 

Job Summary: 

The position will oversee the Company’s production operations. The Production manager is tasked with guaranteeing that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflow.

 

Responsibilities

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for production efficiency, quality of product, ensuring minimal damaged products, and timely shipments of product
  • Manage and supervise production lines and personnel, and help resolve issues
  • Actively participates and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Improve machine efficiency
  • Explore ways to reduce the effort and resources needed to produce products without sacrificing quality
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment is utilized for their intended use
  • Research and propose equipment and employee utilization for cost effectiveness, present proposals to management
  • Inspect work areas for safety hazards and observe employees for safe work habits
  • Responsible for daily compliance with all legislative requirements and Company policies
  • Develop short- and long-term goals for the improvement of our products
  • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and high-quality products by following good manufacturing practices and OHSA requirements
  • Ensure inventory movement is recorded on time in the Company’s computer systems
  • Cycle count is conducted on a weekly basis
  • Reduce changeover time on the production line
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for our production
  • Is responsible for immediately reporting any safety and quality issues to management and QA
  • Supervise all production employees and laborers
  • Observe employee performance, performance reviews as per management and ensure disciplinary procedures are carried out according to Company policies
  • Appropriately utilize Quality Assurance and monitor finished products
  • Complete other duties as required by management

Continuous Improvement/Lean

  • Acts as resource and champion for continuous improvement activities (Suggestion Program, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, problem solving, etc.).
  • Work with Plant Manager and Plant Teams to ensure individual employee involvement in continuous improvement activities.

Education & Experience

  • University Degree or College diploma
  • 6+ years of applied professional experience working in production in an industrial / manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Previous Budget and Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Familiarity with OHSA and safety regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative
  • Organized, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Full understanding of MS Office

 

Working Conditions:

  • There is exposure to plant production areas, which may include exposure to outside weather conditions as well as loud noise from equipment and dust from production processes. Exposure to plant areas requires the use of appropriate safety equipment.  Personal protective equipment is available for employee use in these circumstances.
