Hours Per Week: 40-60 

Location: USA | Colony, Wyoming


Job Summary: Supervise the stockpile group.  Promote safety and OE.  Communicate with the Colony East and Colony West plants on their production needs.


 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

 

OBSERVE: Perform equipment pre-inspections and monitor equipment function during operation including fluid levels, airlines, brakes, tires, hydraulic lines and gauges. Observe visual and auditory signals continuously during operation and positioning.

OPERATE: Follow established standards to operate equipment for obtaining and transporting material including bulldozer, blade, wagon, scraper, loader, tractor, forklift, skid steer, pickup truck/car and dump truck. Operate bulldozer, blade or scraper, wagon frequently, additional equipment intermittently. Areas of equipment operation may include in and around field and roadways. Mount/dismount equipment using legs and arms. Work outdoors in climate-controlled equipment cab conditions providing heating and air conditioning. Maintain appropriate safety and protection of employees and others while performing job duties. May perform duties in isolated areas and without direct supervision at times. Perform lifting and equipment cleaning/shoveling, assist coworkers in material transfer as needed. Lead by example.  Perform pile inspection with contractor checking for berms, levelness of stockpile, and make sure ramps are good

 

COMMUNICATE: Read and comprehend written instructions, time sheets, operating procedures and safety warnings. Conduct written and/or verbal communication regarding operations and safety during work which may occur in elevated ambient noise environments. Recognize and respond to immediate safety concerns and assist with reduction and prevention.   Provide assistance in emergencies as necessary. . Communicate haul schedule to all employees.  Communicate with Colony West and Colony East to see what clay is needed for production

Maintain knowledge of current equipment operation

Computer skills

Complete equipment utilization paperwork

Ability to use judgment continuously for equipment operation

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, work orders, safety manuals, signage Ability to write and complete work orders, time sheets

Ability to perform basic arithmetic

Ability to maintain quality control standards

Knowledge of safe operations and the recognition of common safety hazards inherent to the industry.

 Ability and knowledge to take precautions to establish and maintain a safe work environment

Understand and apply applicable state, federal, company policies and procedures       Ability to meet and maintain all appropriate state and federal certification requirements

Ability to use required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and reflective safety vest

Ability to climb ladders and stairs.

Ability to bend, twist, push, pull and lift objects as job duties require.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

 

Safety Training:  MSHA and on-boarding process provided
