Job Summary:

The IT PMO role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing project management standards, best practices, and governance across all IT projects. This position ensures consistent project delivery, resource alignment, and strategic tracking of IT initiatives that support business objectives. Should be an experienced Oracle Applications Functional Consultant with expertise in Supply Chain Management(SCM) & Enterprise Asset Management(EAM). Is responsible for delivering successful Oracle E-Business suite (EBS) implementations and support engagements, with a focus on aligning technology solutions with business objectives in asset-intensive and supply chain-driven industries.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce project management methodologies, templates, and tools across IT projects
  • Monitor project compliance with PMO policies, including documentation, risk management, and status reporting
  • Oversee the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Assist in prioritizing projects based on business value, risk, and resource capacity
  • Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Conduct project health checks and reviews to ensure progress, quality, and budget adherence
  • Prepare executive level dashboards, reports, and presentations for IT leadership
  • Track KPIs and performance metrics to assess project health
  • Maintain a centralized view of resource allocation across projects
  • Evaluate and improve PMO tools, systems, and processes regularly
  • Champion Agile, Hybrid, or traditional project management methods as appropriate
  • Lead Oracle SCM and EAM functional tracks in implementation, upgrade, or support engagements
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
  • Configure Oracle SCM and EAM modules (e.g., Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, EAM)
  • Collaborate with functional teams for customizations, integrations and reports
  • Perform system testing, UAT, and provide user training and support
  • Create functional specifications, process flows, and user documentation
  • Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Oracle SCM/EAM across various business units
  • Support business users during cutovers, go-live, and post-production phases
  • Participate in solution design workshops and continuous improvements initiatives
  • Stay updated with Oracle roadmaps and best practices

Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.

Qualifications

Education: Graduation or post-graduation in IT or computer science

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid)
  • Strong knowledge of PMO activities
  • Proficient in risk, issue, scope, and change management
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior consultants
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle SCM and EAM modules
  • At least 3-4 Oracle life-cycle implementations
  • Hands-on experience with configuration, functional testing, and troubleshooting

Travel: Travel may occur domestically and internationally as required

 

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to regularly conduct work in a controlled office environment, moving around the office as needed, sitting at a desk, using office equipment, including but not limited to a personal computer, fax machine, copier and telephone, read, write, listen, speak, and understand English, have the ability to work independently, be dependable and maintain confidential information, integrity and composure at all times.

 

Constant contact with individuals internal and external to the organization occurs via various methods of communication, typically including face-to-face discussions, electronic mail, phone calls, written letters and/or faxes.

 

On an as needed basis, there will be exposure to plant areas, which include exposure to outside weather conditions as well as loud noise from equipment and dust from production processes.  While performing the duties of this job, an employee is occasionally required to have the ability to lift materials weighing up to and including 30-50 pounds.

 

Work Hours: Must have the ability to work the shift/number of hours in which duties need to be accomplished, including overtime, holidays and weekends, as necessary.  Call-ins may occur as needed.

 

Safety Training: A new employee hired to perform the duties of this position is required to be provided New Employee Training by a qualified individual or through the online training system.  Additionally, an employee must be provided with further training if a job duty/task has changes that will affect the health and safety aspects of that employee’s position.

 

Additional refresher safety training will be required as management deems appropriate or as dictated by government regulations.
