Position: Logistics Administrator

Location: USA | Scottsbluff, Nebraska


 

Responsibilities

Job Summary - Transportation Logistics Administration.  This role supports the Logistics Operations Group for agent order management, order status management, and tracking/tracing of shipments. 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Compliance review of carrier vendors to assure carriers meet Ameri-Co standards
  • Receive and process of agent sales orders
  • Resolve issues with agent orders
  • Update shipments status for loading, in transit, and delivery
  • Advise Logistics Account Managers of shipments out of plan
  • Assist Account Managers with surge demand of orders
  • Reporting of service statistics on carrier base
  • Post open shipments for Account Managers on load-boards
  • Enter EDI and manual purchase order shipments into Ameri-Co system
  • Other duties as needed

OE/Lean

  • Training in all OE components. Metrics of Voice of customer, Carrier utilization, and Customer profitability will be utilized.  Utilization of lean tools to improve efficiency.

 

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent  

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  

  • Skills in managing fast paced workload.  
  • Very comfortable with technology, computerized software, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Multitasking
  • Effective communication with variety of groups
  • Able to prioritize demands
  • Able to meet timelines to resolve and complete issued actions

 

Working Conditions: Office.

 

Team environment: Account Managers and Operations Department

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to have the ability to work in an office environment, using office equipment as needed, read, write, listen, speak, and understand English, follow instructions and other oral/written information, compose correspondence in a professional manner, complete paperwork and other documentation accurately, work independently and with others, communicate effectively with all individuals internal and external to the organization, analyze information/situations as needed, be organized and detail-oriented, be able to identify/judge the urgency of a situation, use judgment in decision making and use creativity and negotiation when necessary.

 

Work Hours: 7 am - 4pm MST.
