Position: Technical Sales Manager - Industrial Wastewater

Location: USA | North East Region 

Travel: Estimated 40% - 60% 

Compensation: approximately $75k annually based on experience plus commission

 

Summary: We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager Trainee – Industrial Wastewater to support and drive business development and revenue growth across the Northeastern United States. This role will focus on technical sales engagement with industrial clients, engineers, channel partners, and manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will support pilot testing and commercial deployment of industrial water treatment technologies while representing CETCO at key industry organizations, conferences, and events.   

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and sales growth of CETCO’s industrial wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients, channel partners, engineering firms, regulators, and industry influencers.
  • Execute CETCO’s go-to-market strategy and provide input on adjustments as market conditions evolve.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to support customer engagement and financial targets.
  • Perform consultative selling activities, including prospecting, opportunity development, deal closure, and customer retention.
  • Build and support a strategic account management approach focused on long-term, profitable customer relationships.
  • Develop and contribute to technical case histories and success stories to support marketing and growth initiatives.
  • Deliver written and oral technical presentations at industry conferences and customer meetings.
  • Support and achieve MTI Operational Excellence goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience selling flocculants, coagulants, and/or adsorption media in the industrial wastewater treatment sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly; excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Existing relationships and customer contacts within the industrial sector a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of filtration systems and water treatment equipment.
  • Ability to navigate complex business processes and execute commercial plans effectively.  

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience in wastewater treatment.
  • Ability to travel by air and vehicle to attend industrial manufacturing (client) sites, trade shows, and other locations as needed.
  • Proper PPE may be required for jobsite visits.
