Position:                             Motor Grader/Loader Operator

Location:                            North America | USA | Colony, WY

Responsibilities

Colony Haul currently has an opening for a Motor Grader/Loader Operator at its Colony, WY facility. This operator position requires the individual be safety minded. Motor Grader/Loader operators perform any and all tasks associated with road maintenance and/or loading haul trucks.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Perform pre-trip inspection of equipment and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner
  2. Perform work site inspections to ensure the roads and pit areas are safe for haul trucks and fix any issues found in a timely manner.
  3. Properly utilize CB communication with haul trucks and other equipment
  4. Maintain roadway and pit areas to ensure a safe & productive work environment
  5. Perform post-trip inspection of equipment and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Ability and knowledge of running a Motor Grader or Loader
  • Ability to run dozer, scraper, or track hoe or willingness to learn a plus
  • Current CDL with doubles/triples or tanker endorsement a plus
  • Ability to:
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Bend, stretch, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Lift 25 lbs. frequently or 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Fill out all necessary daily paperwork and/or safety related documents
  • Recognize and respond to immediate safety concerns

 

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoors in any and all weather conditions.

 

Work Hours:

  • 10-12 hour work days, 5 days a week, overtime, occasional Saturday if weather interrupts regular week

 

Safety Training: 

  • MSHA
