Job Summary:
The Billing Manager, under minimal supervision, is responsible for billing (including customer files, pricing files and invoice processing & distribution), customer order process management and accounts receivable and intercompany billing across the Americas, including the management of BPO team members outside the region with cash application accounting, close processes, guiding business unit teams along the MTI standard Order to Cash business processes, assisting in the management of A/R account reconciliations and dispute management processes and monthly reporting. New process development, optimization of ERP and other system related resources such as robotic processing and autonomous receivables and providing SME (subject matter expert) support for upgrades and implementation of new business systems. Provides Leadership and Training to junior staff members and new hires and will be called upon to act as functional Team Leader and to develop peers in Operational Excellence methods.
Knowledge:
Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Sales, Finance or Business, or other equivalent college degree. Equivalent experience business experience may be substituted for college. 10 or more years of experience in the Customer Management, Order Processing and Accounts Receivable fields or related area, with a good working knowledge of the order to cash processes and customer supply chain knowledge as well as operations excellence. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Oracle, and Outlook, and possess previous experience in Oracle ERP eBusiness Suite or other comparable ERP system is required. Attentive to detail and a strong bias to factual reporting and accuracy are needed.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal/written skills including good punctuation, spelling and grammar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail, and good organizational skills. Able to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously. Proactive, independent, and self-directed, and able to work as part of a team. Able to work with discretion and professionalism while representing the Global Business Services team. Ability to travel when needed to customers, trade and company sites. Demonstrates the ability to exhibit MTI core employee competencies. Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment, home office or company location.
Physical & Mental:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, standing, reaching, bending, and carrying up to 10 lbs. Must be able to deal with pressures and deadlines in a fast paced work environment with large volumes of work. Working routinely in a high performance and best in class shared services and accounts receivable environment.
Additional refresher safety training will be required as management deems appropriate or as dictated by government regulations.
