Position: Packaging Operator

Location: USA | Letohatchee, Alabama


This is considered a safety sensitive position therefore will be subject to random drug testing as required.

 

Job Summary: Fills packaged materials, ships and receives at Letohatchee

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities-

  • Fills packaged materials in 50# up to 2000# bags, stacks bags, prepares material for shipment to customer, loads and unloads trucks with forklift, etc.
  • Follows direction of the Letohatchee supervisor.

OE/Lean- 

  • Participates in all OE activities including 5s, SS, Gemba, TPM, kaizen, etc.

Other Duties & Responsibilities-

  • Available for OT, shift work, varying work schedule, etc.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements-

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements to perform tasks (lifting, pulling, bending, etc), work in hot or cold environments (weather), be able to work at elevated heights, operate a forklift and other forms of mobile equipment, must have a valid driver’s license and have a dependable form of transportation, ability to read and understand safety procedures and work instructions, ability to perform basic computer functions, etc.

Education: High School diploma or GED

 

Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesWorking in a manufacturing environment, ability to operate mobile equipment, basic fundamentals of comprehension (reading, computer literacy, etc), meet physical demand (labor intense), etc

 

Travel: Little to none but possible.

 

Working Conditions: Indoor, outdoor, day, night, weather (hot, cold, rain), field, elevated heights, confined spaces, etc.

 

Work Hours: M-F day shift, call outs, OT, possible shift work, etc.

 

Safety Training: Behavior based, LOTO, confined space, rescue, elevated heights, MSHA, OSHA, etc.
