Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Lethbridge, Alberta

 

This position will be an afternoon shift.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follows job instruction to meet all established standards for labour, material utilization and product quality.
  • Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with minimal down time
  • Maintain reliability of bulk handling packaging lines
  • Maintain a Preventative Maintenance program
  • Troubleshoot
  • Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
  • Small capital projects
  • Acts in a leading role for facility improvements and facility maintenance
  • Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Actively involved with new product development that may impact the manufacturing and packaging process
  • Interface with vendors on the possible purchase of equipment and facility needs
  • Maintain proper documentation for the dust collector system
  • Works with Line-Lead person on insuring weight scales are consistently providing proper data
  • Responsible for proper mixture of scent chemicals and additives
  • Maintain an active spare parts list
  • Follows and actively promotes safe work, good housekeeping and hygiene practices within the context of current or future legislation and safety program
  • Attends all group safety talks and alerts the Company of any safety hazard or housekeeping hygiene concerns

 

 

OE/Lean

  • Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities

Education:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent    

 

Experience Preferred:

  • Electrical
  • Millwright
  • Welding
  • Mechanical

 

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse/manufacturing environment
