Position: Calcium Production Operator

Location: USA | Canaan, Connecticut

Pay Range: $29.27 per hour

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The basic purposes of this position are to produce calcium metal in the furnaces, create additional products on secondary equipment from the calcium metal, monitor the furnaces in operation, prepare materials for production, and maintain the furnace and support equipment.

 

This is considered a safety sensitive position therefore will be subject to random drug testing as required.

 

Shift Requirements: The Calcium Production Technician will be required to work 1st shift on a rotating schedule that includes working weekends and having days off during the week.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to speak and read English, math, computer systems, and mechanical aptitude is required.


Education
: High school diploma or equivalent required.


Work Hours
: Must have ability to work the shift/number of hours in which duties need to be accomplished, including overtime, holidays, and weekends, as necessary.


Working Conditions:
 While performing the duties of this job, an employee is typically exposed to dust, loud noise, outside weather conditions and hazardous materials, and may be exposed to high places. Works alone or as part of a team working in close proximity to others and works in close proximity with equipment. Lift materials weighing up to and including 50 pounds. Regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach twist, lift, climb, push and pull throughout the work shift.
