Position: Truck Driver

Location: USA | Colony, WY

Job Summary

Colony Haul currently has an opening for a Truck Driver at its Colony, WY facility. The Truck Driver position requires the individual be safety minded. Truck drivers perform any and all tasks associated with driving a semi pulling single or double belly dump trailers and/or water trailers.

 

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner
  2. Drive safely to mine site to be loaded
  3. Properly utilize CB communication throughout the entire process to aid in safe travel
  4. Drive safely back to plant to dump load
  5. Perform walk around inspection and clean out between loads
  6. Perform post-trip inspection of vehicle and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Current CDL with doubles/triples and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain
  • Clean MVR
  • Ability to:
    • Stand or walk for long periods of time
    • Bend, stretch, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • Lift 25 lbs. frequently or 50 lbs. occasionally
    • Fill out all necessary daily paperwork and/or safety related documents
    • Recognize and respond to immediate safety concerns

 

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoors

Work Hours:

  • 10-12 hour work days, 5 days a week, overtime, occasional Saturday if weather interrupts regular week

 

Safety Training: 

  • MSHA
